On December 31, a permit was issued by the Drug Agency for the import of the drug Ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
“By the end of this week or the beginning of next week, I believe that the drug Ivermectin will arrive in the country, which will be used in the treatment of COVID-19 patients,” said the director of the Agency for Drugs and Medical Devices Ljirim Shabani.
“We have given approval for import and it remains to the companies of the pharmaceutical companies when they can bring the medicine. We were told that there was a curfew in several countries and that it would be difficult for the medicine to arrive in a few days. It will probably arrive either at the end of this week or at the beginning of the next week, i.e. after Christmas, when the transport routes will be open,” Shabani said.
