Macedonia Parliament Speaker AfrimGashi met Thursday with Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) Secretary General AsafHajiyev, whose visit is seen as an opportunity to deepen cooperation between the two institutions.
At the meeting, Gashisaid that his visit represents a significant opportunity to deepen cooperation between the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and the organization. It was pointed out that the Parliament’s membership in PABSEC is considered an important strategic commitment of the country, which contributes to strengthening regional parliamentary dialogue and cooperation.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the current activities of PABSEC and the current challenges and perspectives of regional cooperation.
The Parliament Speaker confirmed the readiness of the Parliament to continue to actively contribute to the work of PABSEC and emphasized Macedonia’s commitment to promoting parliamentary cooperation, economic development and legal reforms in the region. The interlocutors agreed that there is room for further improvement of cooperation between the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia and PABSEC.
