Macedonian theater, film and television actor Kiril Pop Hristov – Kili has died at the age of 58. The actor passed away in Ecuador, where he had been living since moving there in 2014. He will be buried in the South American country.
Pop Hristov graduated in 1989 from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje, in the acting department, in the class of professor and one of the greatest Macedonian theater directors LjubishaGeorgievski. Pop Hristov has been with the Macedonian National Theater in Skopje since 1993 until 2014.
Among the plays in which he took part are “Liberation of Skopje”, “Inspector”, “People’s Representative” and other dramatic works that are part of the repertoire of the Macedonian theater.
In addition to the theater stage, Pop Hristov also left his mark in film art. The audience remembers him for his roles inmany Macedonian films, such as “Tattoo”, “Bal-Can-Can” and “Punk’s Not Dead”.
