During this past weekend (March 14-15), in regular traffic controls on roads across the country, out of a total of 1,198 issued payment orders, 465 violations related to drivers who were driving too fast.
A total of 42 people were arrested for reckless driving, eight of whom were for driving under the influence of alcohol, 20 for driving without a driver’s license, and one was driving despite having a driving ban.
During the same period, 13 vehicles were seized under Article 300-b of the Criminal Code, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said Monday.
Furthermore, according to the statistical review of police activities, 173 parking violations were recorded during this past weekend, as well as 40 sanctions for driving under the influence of alcohol.
