Macedonian Prime Minister and ruling VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, accompanied by a party delegation consisting of the party’s Secretary General Dragan Kovachki and EC member Stefan Andonovski, will attend the Congress of the European People’s Party (EPP) in Brussels from March 18 to March 20, 2026. The event will also be attended by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, VMRO-DPMNE said in a press release Wednesday.
The ruling party informs that Mickoski and the delegation will attend the ceremony of the European People’s Party, which will solemnly mark the 50th anniversary of this political family in Brussels, five decades of central role in the construction of Europe, shaping its direction and defending its basic values.
“The attendance of Prime Minister Mickoski and the VMRO-DPMNE delegation at this high-level gathering is a confirmation of the strong commitment of the Republic of Macedonia to European integration, as well as for active involvement in the processes that define the future of Europe. At the same time, this participation is a significant opportunity to affirm national interests and strengthen the position of the state within the European political family,” VMRO-DPMNE said in a press release.
