The Macedonian Ministry of Finance has begun the payment of funds to companies that paid into the Budget in 2023 on the basis of the Law on Solidarity Tax. So far, orders in a total amount of MKD 990 million have been realized through the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance.
The total amount that companies paid into the Budget in 2023 was MKD 3 billion. The state will return half of this amount during this month, and the other half of the amount in March 2027.
“The Ministry of Finance, based on an order from the Government, conducted a transparent and inclusive procedure through which the modality was determined by which the state will return the funds that were collected from the companies following the legal decision that was annulled by the Constitutional Court. This is a procedure that we have determined together with the companies in order to be able to return the funds, while not disrupting the liquidity of the Budget,” said Minister of Finance Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska.
