Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski met in Budapest with Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orbán and delivered remarks at an event hosted by prestigitous academic, educational and research institution Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC).
Mickoski and Orbán reaffirmed the joint commitment to deepen the bilateral strategic partnership, with a focus on promoting economic cooperation, attracting new investments, increasing trade exchange and implementing projects of mutual interest, the Macedonian Government said in a press release.
The PMs also discussed infrastructure connectivity, energy stability and regional cooperation, noting that in times of global challenges, strong partnerships are key in securing stability and development.
Interlocutors highlighted the importance of Hungary’s support in the context of European integration, adding that the process should be based on principles and a merit-system. Mickoski also stressed the importance of family values, tradition and national identity as the foundations of stable and prosperous societies, as well as Hungary’s role in the management of the migrant crisis and the cooperation in ensuring regional security.
