The second session of the Macedonia – United States Strategic Dialogue will be held Tuesday in Washington D.C. after a four-year hiatus.

The high-ranking government delegation is led by Macedonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade TimchoMucunski, accompanied by Interior Minister PancheToshkovski, Defense Minister VladoMisajlovski, Digital Transformation Minister Stefan Andonovski, and Energy Minister SanjaBozhinovska.

“The Strategic Dialogue represents an important platform for deepening bilateral cooperation and advancing the partnership with the USA, with a focus on key areas of mutual interest, including defense and security, cybersecurity and technological cooperation, economy, trade and energy, as well as the joint fight against transnational threats and strengthening border security,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade (MFAFT) said in a statement.

The MFAFT adds that the holding of the second session of the Strategic Dialogue confirms the continuity of the alliance between the two countries and the common commitment to promoting stability, security and prosperity in the region and beyond.

Minister Mucunski recently indicated in an interview that we will be the first country in Europe to hold a strategic dialogue session in Washington under this administration. He expressed his expectation that the Strategic Dialogue will open serious discussions in the areas of defense and security, trade and economic cooperation, as well as bring concrete benefits to citizens.
