Macedonian Minister of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources Sanja Bozhinovska and Foreign Minister Timcho Mucunski attended the signing at the headquarters of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) in Washington of a US$5 million agreement providing financial support for critical minerals exploration in North Macedonia.
The financial support represents a concrete step towards the development of the potential of critical minerals, as an important segment of modern energy and industrial policies. This agreement opens up opportunities for further investments, research and technological development, in accordance with global trends for providing alternative sources of critical raw materials.
The event was held as part of the official visit of the government delegation to the United States of America, prior to which a bilateral meeting was held with the DFC leadership, at which opportunities for deepening cooperation and supporting specific projects were discussed.
