On the International Romani Day, Macedonian Prime Minister Mickoski attended the start of the reconstruction of the “Brsjachka buna” street, where he took media questions about what Macedonia will gain from the cooperation and meetings with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.

“It’s very important that we are there at a super high level, practically Mr. Landau is the second man in the State Department and he leads the American delegation, he is the deputy to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. During yesterday, many topics were opened in the field of defense, digital transformation, energy, security of course. As you can see, the State Department itself, the White House, Mr. Landau clearly emphasize the role of our country within our partnership, that we are equal partners, that they seriously appreciate what we do as a country within NATO and within other international organizations. It is also good to mention the fact that we are the first country in Europe to have such a strategic dialogue at such a strategic level. We have an agreed joint statement when it comes to customs tariffs, it has been confirmed, other investments have been confirmed that will still follow, so now we are one step closer in our bilateral relations with the United States as their strategic partner in the region,” said Prime Minister Mickoski.
