Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski said in a social media post that he celebrated the greatest Orthodox Christian holiday – Easter together with the Macedonian diaspora in the United States of America.
“This afternoon, together with the Macedonian diaspora in the United States of America, we celebrated the greatest Christian holiday – Easter, a holiday of hope, faith and unity,” Mucunski said in his post.
The FM informed that he and Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski visited the “St. Nicholas” church in Totova, New Jersey and the “St. Cyril and Methodius” church in Sider Grove, New Jersey.
Mucunski pointed out that the presence among the emigrants on this great holiday represented a strong message of connection with the diaspora, as well as support for its efforts to preserve faith, tradition and Macedonian identity.
In his post, the foreign minister sent his holiday greetings by adding: Christ is Risen! Happy Easter!”
