I strongly condemn the military actions that Russia is taking against Ukraine, which will unavoidably lead to irreparable human loss and material damage. Russian invasion on Ukraine is an attack on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, blatant violation of the basic principles of international law, attack on the democratic order and a threat to the stability of Europe, said the President of North Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski on Thursday.
“Being a NATO member we join the Alliance’s call on Russia to end the military actions on Ukraine’s territory.
On behalf of the citizens of North Macedonia, I express solidarity with the Ukrainian people in these difficult times. I’ve convened the National Security Council to meet today to discuss the Russian aggression on Ukraine,” added the President.
