Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi said Wednesday that he did not feel the need to apologize to officials for the insults spoken in the recently leaked audio recording.
“I have no explanation for that, in terms of explanation. I am the Parliament Speaker and the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament prescribe my competence. Among other responsibilities is to follow the work of the service. In addition, I need to create conditions and preconditions for the service to work. If someone thinks that she should spend their working hours on Makedonija Street having coffee, I assume that the citizens do not want such a service, neither in the Parliament, nor in any institution,” Xhaferi said at Wednesday’s press briefing.
