The Vice-President of VMRO-DPMNE Aleksandar Nikoloski, in a TV interview, spoke about the energy crisis in the country and emphasized that if the domestic capacities are fully engaged and if Macedonia is well organized, it can produce all the electricity it consumes.

“I think it is too late for this year, but we should think about next year because the crisis will last and no one should be naive that the crisis will end quickly. A serious plan must be made, and we talked about it in public as part of the full engagement of domestic capacities, and if organized well, Macedonia can produce all the electricity it consumes. In that case, if we go to the production price of electricity, without additional profits, both the citizens and the economy can get a relatively cheap price of electricity, which is not the case primarily with the economy because they depend on imports and depend on European electricity exchanges. energy,” Nikoloski said.

The opposition official also referred to the energy capacities when VMRO-DPMNE was in power and pointed out that during that mandate, around 6.5 thousand gigawatts per hour of electricity were produced, and around 7 thousand were consumed.
