In the coming period, an analysis will have to be made on the basis of which activities and measures can be determined to save Lake Prespa, just as was done in the past with Ohrid Lake, pointed out Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, whoaccompanied by the Minister of Culture Bisera Kostadinovska-Stojchevska is visiting the Prespa region.

“The state will undertake everything within its competence and capabilities in relation to the disaster that happened on Lake Prespa. It is naturally connected to Lake Ohrid, and naturally as a result of these climate changes, for example, there is less precipitation and the water level of lakes and rivers in the country has decreased, as in all of Europe, it happens that most of the lakes and rivers are reduced amount of water. We talked with the line ministries regarding this problem and in the coming period, an analysis will have to be made on the basis of which activities and measures can be determined to save the Lake Prespa, just as it was done in the past with the Ohrid Lake. It is a huge project that should be supported by our partners. The state will not abandon the Lake Prespa,” PM Kovachevski said.
