If everything goes as agreed and early are held on April 12,
Parliament will be dissolved on February 12, and since everything will be known and
agreed in advance, Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi said in an interview with MIA.
The interim government may be elected on the same day as the resignation of the
current prime minister. That, he adds, could be on January 3, 2020, and on January
4, the new transitional government could start functioning.
This is something that all parties agreed to and it is not a problem to do the vote on
the same day, on January 3rd. We would note the resignation of the Prime Minister,
notify the President that the Government has resigned, he should then appoint a
mandate holder who would propose new Interior and Labour and Welfare ministers
and new deputy ministers from the opposition, and we can vote on them by midnight
the same day, notes Xhaferi.
Xhaferi assesses this parliamentary mandate as perhaps the most difficult so far
given the difficult decisions that were to be made not only this year, but from his own
election onwards. According to him, the assembly worked under specific conditions,
starting with what happened in 2017.
– Generally, as a mandate, it is one of the most difficult, if not the most difficult
mandate in which many things have taken place that will certainly leave a historical
mark on the work of the Parliament. Quite difficult decisions to be made and I think
with patience we managed to overcome them, to hear all the differences in the
debate, we gave adequate time to everyone who needed to take part in that debate,
I think the bigger one was taken into consideration of the pointing and the opposing
attitudes and thus we actually succeeded in completing the important decisions and
projects that were before us, the Parliament Speaker pointed out.

agenda, the blockades of certain legislative solutions and the political points that the
parliamentary groups are trying to "gather" before the announced elections, the
