Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister AleksandarNikoloski met with Kosovo Minister of Infrastructure and Transport DimalBasha on the sidelines of the Transport Investment Summit in Thessaloniki on Thursday, discussing the enhancement of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, and realization of joint regional infrastructure projects.
Nikoloski and Basha agreed that Macedonia and Kosovo share excellent bilateral ties and hold significant potential for further increase of cooperation, especially in the field of transport infrastructure, which represents the foundation for economic development, rising trade exchange and improved connectivity in the region, the Macedonian Ministry of Transport said in a press release.
Deputy PM Nikoloski says the Government is fully committed to the realization of capital infrastructure projects, including the Skopje – Blace motorway section.
“This project is the most important road link between Macedonia and Kosovo, contributing to a faster, safer and more efficient road transport, along with increased mobility of citizens and the economy, as well as strengthened regional cooperation,”noted Deputy PMNikoloski.
