The last batch of U.S.-made armored vehicles Stryker is set to arrive in the Thessaloniki port next Monday and expected to reach the country by the end of July, thus completing the agreement worth nearly EUR 339 million, Macedonian Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski told reporters on Thursday.

At a press conference Thursday on the work done during his two-year term, the Minister of Defense said that contracts were signed with the United States for the procurement of light infantry weapons, unmanned systems Puma and Raven, equipment for cyber protection of the units of the Light Infantry Battalion Group, equipment for cyber protection of the Ministry of Defense, equipment for JTAC for close air support, radio devices, upgrading of the Simulation Center in Veles.

A contract was also signed for anti-tank combat systems Jewelin, the delivery of which should begin in 2019. The Minister of Defense also recalled that the artillery systems Boran from allied Turkey have arrived, as well as part of the equipment Mistral 3, a process that is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

With the support of the European Peace Fund, nearly EUR 40 million were received in three packages, and as Misajlovski announced, there will most likely be a new package for the Ministry of Defense, i.e. the Army.
