The Macedonian pharmaceutical company ALKALOID AD Skopje received the silver medal SILVER | TOP 15% for 2026 awarded by the EcoVadis platform, with a score of 94 percent. With this recognition, ALKALOID is positioned among the top 15% of all companies evaluated on the global platform EcoVadis in the last 12 months, the company said in a press release Monday.
The silver medal represents significant progress compared to last year’s bronze medal BRONZE | TOP 35% and is another clear confirmation of ALKALOID’s long-standing commitment to sustainable development, responsible operations, transparency and continuous improvement of business practices. This recognition further confirms the maturity of the company’s systemic approach in the implementation of ESG standards and strengthens the trust of its international partners and collaborators.
According to the results of the assessment, the most significant is ALKALOID’s placement among the top 3% of the assessed companies in the industry category Manufacturing of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations. Additionally, in individual areas, ALKALOID is among the top 1% of companies in the area of environment and 1% of companies in the area of labor and human rights, among the top 13% in the area of sustainable procurement and among the top 19% in the area of ethical business conduct.
