Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski expects the selection of a location for the new clinical center to be completed by the end of summer, after which preparations for the realization of the capital healthcare investment can begin.

Responding to a reporter’s question after the commissioning of the reconstructed Traumatology Department at the PHI University Surgical Diseases Clinic St. Naum Ohridski in Skopje, Mickoski said that discussions were underway with the landowner, and that an alternative location nearby was also being considered.

“There are talks. We are discussing with the landowner. We also have a second option near that plot. Naturally, we never rely on just one option. I expect that within that perimeter we will be able to complete the process, and then make a good plan to finally begin the realization of that healthcare investment,” Mickoski said.

When asked when he expects the process to be completed, the PM indicated that it should happen during the summer period.

“This summer should be the last period,” said Mickoski.

The location that the Government is considering for the construction of the new clinical center is the area near the sports center and Boris Trajkovski swimming pool in the Karposh Municipality, in the immediate vicinity of the September 8th General Hospital, the PET Center and the Bucharest polyclinic.
