Macedonian Parliament Speaker AfrimGashi met with ProfessorDimitarTashkovski and ProfessorBranislavGerazov, during which the AI model for automatic transcription in real time, developed within the services of the INNOFEIT European Digital Innovation Hub (INNOFEIT EDIH), was promoted.
This artificial intelligence model was developed and trained on the basis of video recordings from parliamentary sessions, which allows it to recognize speech, terminology and the specific manner of conducting parliamentary debates with high precision.
The project aims to modernize the process of preparing parliamentary shorthand notes by transforming the current slow and manual process into a scalable, inclusive and AI-supported system, which enables automatic transcription in real time.
Its implementation will enable significantly faster preparation of transcripts and minutes, easier searching of discussions by speaker, topic or keyword, as well as the creation of digital archives that will be more accessible to MPs, the expert service, the media and citizens.
