A Resen-based police officer has been arrested on suspicion of physically assaulting a 36-year-old woman from Prilep, with whom he was in a relationship, as well as her minor son.
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) informs that the person was detained Monday at 4:00 a.m. in Star Dojran.
“Today (03.08.2026) at 04:00 AM in Star Dojran, police officers from the Strumica Police Department – Gevgelija Police Department arrested a 35-year-old man from Resen (police officer), acting on a previous report that on 01.08.2026 and 02.08.2026 in Star Dojran he physically assaulted a 36-year-old woman from Prilep, with whom he was in a romantic relationship, and her minor son,” the Ministry of Interior informed in a press release.
The case has been reported to the public prosecutor from theGevgelija Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office, under whose guidance measures are being taken to fully resolve the incident.
