Two months after the first of the two external exams, Macedonian Minister of Education and Science VesnaJanevska and the State Examination Center directorDaniela Jovchevska-Mihajlovska announced the results at a press conference today, which are final and after the objections have been submitted and reviewed.

A novelty this year was that the graduates took three types of matriculation exams – state matriculation, state vocational matriculation and state artistic matriculation.

The average grade for the state matriculation is 3.62, for the vocational 3.91 and for the artistic 3.59. Minister Janevska stated that she is satisfied with the average, which has almost been maintained since last year, when it was 3.69, in contrast, she said, to 2024 when it was 3.26.

More than 14,500 students who completed secondary education in the 2025/2026 school year were registered to take the external exams (the mandatory mother tongue and one more subject from the ones offered for selection) of the matriculation exam in the June exam session. They took the tests on 6 and 11, respectively 12 June.

Of the total of 14,587 students registered to take the matriculation exam, 12,184 were registered to take the state matriculation exam, 2,276 students for the state vocational matriculation exam and 127 registered for the state artistic matriculation exam. 348 registered students or 2.39 percent did not attend the exam.
