A total of 37 wildfires have been registered in the past 24 hours, including three that are still active and one under control. The rest have been extinguished, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) said Wednesday.
Of the active fires, a mixed forest is burning in the municipality of Studenichani, in the region of the villages of Morane, Vrtekica and Ramni Gaber. Low vegetation, low-stemmed forest and bushes are burning in the municipality of Makedonski Brod, a place called Vidush, near the village of Dragov Dol and near the village of Lokvica. The third active fire is on the territory of the municipality of Prilep, in the region of the village of Chaniste.
With two branches – one towards the village of Zovik, and the other towards the village of Krushevica. Low vegetation has been burned, the CMC informed.
The fire at the landfill in Delchevo, according to information by 7:30 a.m., is under control.
Of the extinguished fires, two were on the territory of the municipality of Gjorce Petrov, two in the Saraj region, two in Shtip, three each in Dolneni, Kichevo and Gostivar, one each in Aerodrom, Arachinovo, Mogila, Novaci, Radovish, Strumica, Chashka, as well as one that was on the territory of Veles and Zelenikovo.
The fires were also extinguished in Vinica, Kochani, Lipkovo, Kratovo, Staro Nagoricane, Rankovce, Brvenica, Tetovo, Jegunovce.
A mixed forest was also burning in the municipalities of Jegunovce and Saraj. First on the territory of the villages of Kopance and Tudence in the municipality of Jegunovce, and then the fire spread to the village of Bojane in Saraj.
