A total of 35 wildfires were registered by the Crisis Management Center (CMC) as of early Friday morning. Five remain active, two are under control, and 28 have been put out, the CMC said.
There are still active fires near the village of Tajmishte in the Municipality of Kichevo; near the village of Nikushtak in the Municipality of Lipkovo; near the villages of Dragov Dol and Lokvica in the Municipality of Makedonski Brod; near the villages of Chanishte, Krushevica and Lopatica in the Municipality of Prilep; and near the villages of Morane, Vrtekica and Ramni Gaber in the Municipality of Studenichani. Two of them are forest fires, two are scrub fires, and one is a brush fire.
The brush fire in the village of Mojno in the Municipality of Mogila is under control as is the scrub fire near the villages of Belushino and Jakrenovo in the Municipality of Krushevo.
Fires were extinguished in the municipalities of Brvenica (2), Butel, Gazi Baba (2), Gostivar (3), Kavadarci, Kichevo (2), Kochani, Kriva Palanka, Kumanovo (3), Lozovo, Negotino, Novaci, Radovish, Staro Nagorichane, Struga, Strumica (2), Studenichani (2), Tetovo, Veles and Zhelino. Most of them were field fires, brush fires and landfill fires, but there were also two forest fires and a dumpster fire.
