The Crisis Management Center (CMC) informs that intensive activities continue to bring the fires in the villages in the Karsijak area under control. The CMC adds that CMC head Muhamed Ali is in the field, along with the competent services and teams, where he is monitoring and coordinating the situation.
“Our priority is the protection of Mount Kitka and preventing the spread of the fire to populated areas. All available state resources are engaged in the field – three aircraft of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue, teams of the Fire Brigade of the City of Skopje, as well as teams of National Forests,” said Ali.
The CMC stresses that there is currently no danger to the village of Paligrad, nor to other populated areas in the Karsijak area.
The Crisis Management Center adds that it will resume its continuous monitoring of the situation and intensive intervention until the situation is completely stabilized.
The police are working to fully solve and document the case, after which an appropriate report will be filed against the suspect.
