Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia His Holiness Stefan has canceled a visit to the American-Canadian Diocese due to health reasons and on doctors’ recommendation, the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric (MOC-OA) said in a press release Tuesday.
“The Office of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric informs the public that, due to health reasons and on the recommendation of doctors, Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia Stefan will not make the announced visit to the American-Canadian Diocese, which was supposed to take place on the occasion of the upcoming assembly events of our diocese, which this year is hosted by the Church Municipality ‘St. Cyril and Methodius’ in Willowbrook (Chicago). We wish Archbishop Stefan, with God’s help, a speedy recovery, so that he can lead our Holy Church for many more years,” the Office of the SAS of the MOC-OA wrote in its press release. Archbishop Stefan failed to take part in the service for the Feast of the Transfiguration on August 19, reported the Religija.mk website.
