Over MKD 18.4 billion from the Hungarian loan have been made available to local government units through two public calls for the implementation of infrastructure and capital projects, VMRO-DPMNE MP Zoran Kocevski told a press briefing Monday.
According to Kocevski, with the second public call, the Government continues to support municipalities and opens a new investment cycle aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens.
“With the two calls, the Government has made 18 billion and 449 million denars from the Hungarian loan available to local government units for the implementation of infrastructure and capital projects of direct importance to citizens,” noted Kocevski.
The ruling party representative stresses that this is a model of support through which the state provides financial resources, while municipalities propose projects in accordance with the needs of the local population.
As examples, Kocevski points out projects in several municipalities across the country. In Gazi Baba, investments are being made in the construction of a kindergarten in Indzhikovo and a sports hall in the primary school in Creshevo. In Centar, the Rabotnichki sports hall is being reconstructed, while in Butel, the Serava riverbed is being landscaped and protected.
