Construction went up by a large 21.9 percent in Q2 2026 compared to the same period last year, Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski said in a social media post Friday.

The Deputy PM noted that work worth a total of MKD 14.9 billion or approximately EUR 242 million has been completed and that the growth of construction is a good supporter of the domestic economy.

“These figures show that the Government’s policies are yielding results, investments in: motorways, expressways, railways, over 1200 projects in municipalities, airports will continue at an even faster pace. We are making the country a true strategic crossroads in the Balkans. We are building Macedonia,” reads Deputy Prime Minister Nikoloski post.
