The Ministry of Transport has issued all permits for the reconstruction of the buildings in the Old Bazaar in Gevgelija, thereby contributing to the protection of this cultural heritage, Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski said Saturday during his visit to Gevgelija.
“I’m glad that the Ministry of Transport was able to help in the realization of the renovation of the Old Bazaar in Gevgelija. A total of 27 permits have been issued for the reconstruction of 27 objects that look truly beautiful. I would like to thank the Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage and the Ministry of Culture with whom we worked together, as well as all the employees of the Ministry of Transport who worked together with the Municipality of Gevgelija on a daily basis. It was not easy, especially since these are protected objects, but those 27 permits happened, and after that the project was realized. Also, appropriate permits and decisions were given for the ground arrangement and reconstruction of all access streets, as well as the main street in the bazaar itself,” said Deputy Prime Minister Nikoloski.
