As of Friday (September 11), a temporary traffic regime has been implemented due to the start of road infrastructure construction work as part of the comprehensive reconstruction of the Delchevo border crossing.
While construction is underway, vehicle traffic entering and exiting the country will be restricted to a single lane in each direction; consequently, the crossing’s vehicle throughput capacity is reduced, and longer delays are possible.
“We urge citizens, if possible, to use neighboring border crossings to avoid long waits and ensure the smooth flow of traffic,” the Macedonian Ministry of Interior (MoI) said Saturday.
