Young Macedonian football player Daniel Nikolkovski lost his life in a traffic accident early this morning, Tetovo’s Football Club Teteks said in a social media post Saturday. The footballer was 21 years old.
“Daniel was part of the FC Teteks youth squads and continued his love for the club as a member of the senior team. He will be remembered as part of our Teteks family and will forever remain a part of our club’s history,” FC Teteks wrote.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), a traffic accident was reported late Friday night on the Gostivar–Strazha highway, approximately 500 meters from a hospitality establishment. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf with Gostivar license plates, driven by A.I. (34) from the village of Chegrane—with passenger H.K. (28) from Gostivar—and a Volkswagen Golf with Tetovo license plates, driven by D.N. (21) from Tetovo—with passenger F.J. (21) from Tetovo.
An emergency medical doctor pronounced driver D.N. dead at the scene, while the other three individuals were transported to the Gostivar Medical Center, where they were treated for injuries.
