A public prosecutor from the Skopje Public Prosecutor’s Office has filed an indictment against six individuals for the continuing criminal offense of document forgery under Article 378, Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code (CC), the Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) said in a press release Saturday.
“The first defendant is an employee of the Ministry of Interior, specifically a junior advisor for travel documents within the Administrative Affairs Department in Skopje. Between September 3, 2020, and August 24, 2026, she repeatedly used her access credentials to alter driver’s licenses by adding extra vehicle categories,” the Prosecutor’s Office said.
The remaining five individuals named in the indictment are drivers.
Meanwhile, within the scope of the same case, investigative actions are ongoing to secure evidence against another 21 individuals suspected of acting as intermediaries or using the forged driver’s licenses; the Prosecutor’s Office is also investigating other potential instances of abuse, the PPO added.
