Macedonian Minister of Defense VladoMisajlovski met today with the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, AlperAktaş, and the new Defense Attaché, Colonel Kemal Başol, extending a warm welcome to both.
“We maintain intensive and fruitful defense cooperation with the Republic of Turkey, which has resulted in a stronger Army and more robust security. We are grateful to our Turkish allies for their support in developing the military capabilities of the Macedonian Army, particularly through the Agreement on Military-Financial Cooperation. The defense cooperation between Macedonia and Turkey serves as an example of how two friendly, allied nations should work together,” said Misajlovski.
The minister noted that, over the past decades, mutual support and cooperation have contributed to the development of both armed forces; today, these forces actively contribute to, and serve as a guarantee for, the preservation of security and stability throughout the broader region.
