Appellate Court acquits Boki 13 in “International Association” case

The Skopje Appellate Court has issued an acquittal for Bojan Jovanovski, known as Boki 13, in the “International Association” case. This decision overturns the first-instance verdict of the Basic Criminal Court, which had sentenced Jovanovski to five years in prison.

The news was announced by his lawyer Sasho Dukovski, who represented him during the legal proceedings. In a social media post, he confirmed the decision and expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the trial.

“Justice may be slow, but it is attainable! Today, the Skopje Appellate Court issued an acquittal for Bojan Jovanovski in the “International Association” case. In doing so, it has overturned the five-year sentence handed down by the Basic Criminal Court!” reads Dukovski’s post.

In October 2025, Jovanovski was sentenced to five years in prison for fraud and money laundering during the retrial of the case. According to the indictment, two businessmen were defrauded through a project involving the construction of homes for the elderly, and a portion of the funds intended for the project’s implementation was used to finance the television station 1TV as well as for personal expenses.
