Abazi and Kolarevikj intentionally omitted SAO reports on the “Mazut” case involving harmful fuel oil for TPP Negotino, claims MP Miloshoski

This public prosecutor duo Abazi and Kolarevikj is more attached to their mentors Zaev, Ahmeti and Venko Filipche than it is dedicated to the rule of law and the prosecution of organized crime and corruption, the MP says

Regarding the scandalous decision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecuting Organized Crime and Corruption (PPO OCC), on fuel oil mazut worth EUR 167 million, we can conclude that a duo is operating there. The duo is prosecutors Abazi and Kolarevikj, who are something like a DUI-SDS coalition, but not in the parliamentary benches, but in the PPO for crime and corruption, said MP Antonio Miloshoski at a press briefing Saturday.

“Even in the collection of evidence, we could notice that these prosecutors were selective. With yesterday’s denial by ESM, it becomes clear that prosecutors Abazi and Kolarevikj were more concerned with taking statements from incompetent persons instead of seriously investigating and providing evidence for this procurement of fuel oil worth EUR 167 million. It can also be concluded that they were selective and did not even read the reports of relevant authorities such as the State Audit Office (SAO) and similar ones.

The State Audit Office determined in 2024 that in this multi-million euro procurement, fuel oil was delivered from a different supplier than the one that was determined in the contract between ESM, TPP Negotino and the supplier, and secondly, experts from ESM determined that the fuel oil had a large number of impurities that caused defects in the fuel oil station of TPP Negotino. Despite this determined poor condition and quality of the fuel oil, TPP Negotino still concluded an annex for so that this expensive contract can reach the amount of EUR 167 million.

But it is obvious that such reports of the State Audit Office were not noticed by Abazi and Kolarevikj, who paid more attention to statements that suited them from incompetent persons instead of taking into account the relevant reports that provide serious indications that this scandal worth EUR 167 million is related to damage caused at the TPP Negotino, but also to money laundering and the acquisition of illegal property benefits. We believe that Abazi and Kolarevikj are not worthy of the position of being in the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the Prosecution of Crime and Corruption, because both of them have their own personal, family or political debts for their career advancement, and they are connected to the DUI and SDS political parties.

This public prosecutor duo Abazi and Kolarevikj is more attached to their mentors Zaev, Ahmeti and Venko Filipche than it is dedicated to the rule of law and the prosecution of organized crime and corruption. With such prosecutors, suspects like Vasko Kovachevski, Jahoski, Sulkoski, Kapushevski, Adrijan Mucha and others will always be free people, instead of being brought to justice.

Therefore, we once again call on the Council of Public Prosecutors to deal with this case, to investigate the actions of Abazi and Kolarevikj and to determine what intentional or unintentional omissions were made, all with the aim of this multi-million scandal called fuel oil and procurement for TPP Negotino being thrown out of the investigation that was brought by a decision of these two prosecutors,” MP Miloshoski stressed.
