An Ambassadorial Council is set to be held in Skopje with the attendance of the heads of the country’s diplomatic and consular missions abroad for the first time since 2019, Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade TimchoMucunski told a press conference Tuesday. He also told reporters he will welcome on Wednesday the Czech Foreign Minister, PetrMacinka, to discuss deepening bilateral relations, European prospects, economic cooperation, and current regional and international issues.

“This is the first time since 2019 that the Ambassadorial Council will be held again in our country, with the physical presence of the heads of diplomatic and consular missions. After many years, we are once again gathering our diplomatic network in one place for direct, substantive and strategic coordination. The Ambassadorial Council is one of the most important mechanisms for strategic coordination of Macedonian diplomacy. The goal is clear: to take stock of what has been done, to harmonize positions and, above all, to set specific tasks for the period ahead,” Mucunski said.

According to the FM, the Ambassadorial Council is one of the most important mechanisms for strategic coordination of Macedonian diplomacy, with a clear goal, a review of what has been done, harmonization of positions and setting specific tasks for the period ahead.
