Macedonia’s Crisis Management Center (CMC) reports that according to the meteorological fire index, almost the country’s entire territory is in a high-risk fire zone.
The exceptions are SharPlanina and the surroundings of Ohrid and Resen, where a medium meteorological fire index (yellow alarm) has been registered.
“Due to such weather conditions, there is a high risk of the occurrence and spread of open fires and forest fires of high intensity throughout the territory of Macedonia. The Crisis Management Center urges citizens to exercise maximum caution and responsible behavior, especially when staying and moving in nature, and not to use fire in open areas,” the CMC said on Tuesday.
