And yes, I cannot accept the fact that our country does not have a university in the top 2000 according to the Shanghai Ranking, while Ljubljana, Zagreb and Belgrade do, said Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on Thursday.
“That’s why today our children study in Slovenia, they study in Croatia and they run away from the University of Skopje or the universities in Macedonia, because you destroyed it, you crippled it. We demand that every professor, who today gets 120, 130, 140 thousand denars in paychecks, thanks to this Government, because previously they only got 50, 60 and 70 thousand to do their job, which is to publish papers in quality journals, that is, journals with an impact factor and journals that are in the database,” the PM pointed out.
