Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski addressed the potential of antimony as a critical and rare mineral, emphasizing that its extraction could hold economic and strategic significance for the country.
“Antimony is a critical and rare mineral, most commonly used in the military industry. Of course, there are other applications, but generally speaking, when we talk about antimony, we are talking about the military industry,” Mickoski said in a social media post.
According to the PM, the realization of the project could contribute to enhancing the country’s economic importance and improving the standard of living for its citizens.
Mickoski also cited preliminary reports on reserves, noting that they could be significantly larger than the combined reserves of the world’s two leading antimony-producing nations.
