Head of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Marko Bislimoski has resigned from his post Thursday after less than eight years in office. The letter to Parliament did not state the reasons for his resignation, sources tell Deutsche Welle – DW.

Bislimoski informed Macedonia’s Parliament Speaker in a letter Thursday morning that he’s stepping down from the post to which he was first elected in June 2018.

Bislimoski did not state the reasons for his resignation in his resignation letter. Neither he nor his associates want to comment on the decision. For now, one can only speculate about the reasons, considering that Bislimoski’s second five-year term ended in June 2028.
