Macedonian Prime Minister HristijanMickoski stated that the Bitola-Elbasan interconnection power line is a key energy project that will finally connect Macedonia to all neighboring power systems, assessing that it is a step towards greater stability and integration into the European energy network.

“We are not just talking about an infrastructure project, but about connectivity, stability and the future of the two countries within the European energy family,” said Mickoski.

According to the PM, with the construction of the 400 kilovolt power line, about 100 kilometers long, the long-standing gap in the energy network on Corridor 8 is being closed.

“For the first time, we are becoming fully connected to all neighboring power systems. This means more security for citizens and stability for the economy,” said the Prime Minister.

Mickoski assesses that the power line also has a broader significance, as a signal of regional cooperation and trust among investors.

“We are not just talking about cables and poles, but about energy that will drive the economy and stability that will protect citizens,” PM Mickoski said.

According to him, with this project, Macedonia is positioning itself as a reliable partner in European energy flows. The time is coming when Macedonia will not be on the periphery, but at the center of energy flows, addedMickoski.
