The email of Macedonia’s Chief State Auditor Maksim Acevski has been hacked, the State Audit Office (SAO) said on Friday.
“I inform you that my official email address (maksim.acevski@dzr.gov.mk) was the target of a security incident, during which unauthorized messages were sent from it.
Please ignore and delete all suspicious messages sent from this address that request a username, password or other confidential information.
If you have clicked on a link or entered data, please immediately change the password on your email and notify your IT department.
Our IT department reacted promptly, the account has been secured and all necessary measures have been taken to prevent further abuse. I also recommend that you change your password. I apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding,” reads the Chief State Auditor’s press release.
