Macedonian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management informed on Friday that in accordance with the guidelines of the Government as well as the requests from forest users – the Public Enterprise National Forests and the National Parks that manage the protected areas, it has given its consent to introduce a complete ban on movement in forests and forest land.
The complete ban on movement in forests begins on 01.07.2026 and will last until 31.08.2026. Movement in forests will be allowed only with a written approval issued by the subsidiaries of the PE National Forests and the PE National Parks, respectively for the area they manage.
For failure to comply with this complete ban on movement in forests and forest land, individuals who are found moving in forests and forest land, in accordance with Article 106 of the Law on Forests, will be fined from EUR 1,500 to EUR 2,000 in denar equivalent.
