Constitutional judge Goce Naumovski has resigned his post. In a press release Thursday, the Constitutional Court said Naumovski did not a deliver an official note of his resignation to the Court, but the Court’s President, Darko Kostadinovski, received confirmation in a phone call with Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi.
Goce Naumovski was elected constitutional judge in February 2026, upon the proposal of the Elections and Appointments Commission.
Naumovski is a law professor at the Skopje State University, brother of former Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Vasko Naumovski and, as the Government announced, external advisor to Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on legal matters.
However, the Constitutional Court says that Naumovski’s resignation has yet not been forwarded.
“The Court has not received official information from Judge Goce Naumovski that he is resigning. The judge was absent from the session today. No official confirmation has been received from the Parliament either. President Kostadinovski only received confirmation of the resignation in a telephone conversation from the President of the Parliament, Afrim Gashi,” said the Court.
Earlier, Professor Jadranka Dabovikj resigned from her post.
