Historical seizure by the Customs Administration of Macedonia – approximately €500,000 were found and seized in a minivan, hidden in a specially made bunker in the vehicle.
Customs Administration head Boban Nikolovski informed that the foreign currency was discovered using a scanner, which showed modifications to the minivan.
“The foreign currency and the vehicle have been permanently seized, and the perpetrator is a citizen of Albania. A court verdict has already been issued in the case by the Basic Court in Kumanovo. The vehicle is owned by a travel agency from Albania, and seven passengers were travelling in it,” said Nikolovski.
