The Tetovo police received a report on Monday about an injured person on the Popova Shapka ski slopes, near the area called Ceripashina.
A team from the Society for Sports and Other Services with a special vehicle at 4 pm found the person F.M.L. (24) from Denmark, who, according to the report, was injured by a snow avalanche while skiing. After the assistance provided, the person was transported by ambulance to a private hospital in Skopje, informed the Tetovo PD spokesperson Fatmir Rexhepi.
As a reminder, the Shar Planina National Park warned of caution Monday because a significant increase in avalanche danger was observed, especially on steep slopes with eastern, southeastern and southern exposure of the mountain.
