Vladimir Panchevski has been disqualified from the race for chief public prosecutor. The reasons for this are that the Council determined that he does not meet the legal requirements stipulated in the Law on Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The candidate for this post should have at least 10 years of continuous work experience in the field of criminal law, and Panchevski’s position ceased 13 years ago and in the meantime he has not been a judge or a public prosecutor.

The Council decided that he does not meet the legal requirements and should not be placed on the list of candidates.

Panchevski was convicted of abuse of office and authority due to abuses of the ACCMIS system.

In the running for the chief public prosecutor’s post are acting Chief Public Prosecutor Anita Topolova-Isajlovska, Prosecutor Lenche Ristoska, Skopje Criminal Court Judge Nenad Savevski and the Skopje Prosecutor’s Office Prosecutor Lidija Raichevikj.
