In coordination with all candidate Western Balkans countries for joining the European Union, we have been organized for quite some time to put pressure on Brussels to change the measures affecting transporters. Finally, on February 11, about 50 proposals were presented, but there is still no understanding from the member states, but that does not mean that the work is finished, Macedonia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Zoran Dimitrovski said Wednesday.

Responding to a question from SDSM MP Jovana Trenchevska, the Deputy Minister said that “this measure does not only affect our country, but all candidate countries from the Western Balkans.”

Together with our partners from the Western Balkans, we organized ourselves as governments in Brussels for a long period of time to exert pressure to change these measures, and finally on February 11, that group was formed and about 50 measures were presented, but there is still no understanding from the member states in this context, but that does not mean that the work is finished,” said Dimitrovski.

The deputy FM adds that these measures do not only affect the candidate countries, but also the member states, some of which, as he says, have reacted to these measures.
