An employee working in the security of the construction site for the underground boulevard at the Diamond complex in the center of Skopje has been arrested on Tuesday.
The police accuse the suspect of stealing about two kilometers of copper cables from the construction site for the underground boulevard over a period of one month. According to information provided by the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the value of the stolen copper cables is about EUR 200,000.
Skopje police suspect T.M. (68) from Skopje, hired as a security guard at the construction site, of theft. He was arrested Tuesday afternoon, when the theft was reported.
Ansearch was carried out by an inspection team from the Skopje PD and measures are being taken to solve the case, after which an appropriate report will be filed.
